Community Education and Awareness Workshops
At MNT, we facilitate community education workshops that strengthen understanding and connection across cultures. Our role is to secure funding, engage skilled facilitators, and create the opportunities for these workshops to take place.
Workshops we have supported include:
Cross-Cultural Awareness & Community – building understanding across cultures and strengthening community cohesion.
Tangata Tiriti (Treaty of Waitangi education for newcomers) – introducing Aotearoa New Zealand’s founding document and its relevance today.
Activating Allyship – empowering people to stand up and take action against racism.
Starting Your Own Business – supporting migrants and former refugees to explore entrepreneurship.
When funding allows, we also respond to community requests by facilitating additional workshops such as event planning, parenting in New Zealand, and other practical skill-building opportunities.
Through this mahi we help ensure that people have access to learning opportunities which promote inclusion, celebrate diversity, and support thriving communities.
If you are interested in any of these workshops, please get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
